Can't find your answer? Write to us and we'll reply within minutes.

Ask on WhatsApp
When is Three Kings celebrated in Morocco?

Three Kings' Night is on 5 January. At the desert camp we'll celebrate with a special dinner, music, a festive atmosphere and a surprise gift for every traveller.

Is the tour only for families with children?

No, the Three Kings tour is designed for everyone: families, couples, groups of friends and solo travellers. The magic of the Three Kings is for all ages. Every participant receives the surprise gift.

What's the weather like in the desert in January?

January is winter in Morocco. Sunny days with temperatures of 15–20 °C. Desert nights are cold (0–8 °C). The camps provide electric blankets, heating and warm clothing so you're comfortable.

What does the Three Kings gift include?

Every participant will receive a typical Moroccan surprise gift: local crafts, desert products or Berber souvenirs. It's a special touch to celebrate the arrival of the Three Kings from the heart of the Sahara.

Can the tour start in Marrakech instead of Fes?

Yes, we can adapt the itinerary. We also offer the reverse route: 6 days from Marrakech to Fes with the same stops and the Three Kings celebration in the desert. Ask us for more options.

What clothes should I bring for January in the desert?

We recommend: warm clothes for the night (jacket, sweater), comfortable clothes for the day, closed shoes, a hat, a scarf, sunscreen, sunglasses and a torch. Desert nights are cold but the camps are equipped for it.

Is there an early-booking discount?

Yes, we apply a 15% early-booking discount until 20 December 2025. Groups of 4 or more also get an extra discount. Contact us for more information.

What time does the tour start and where do you pick us up?

We usually leave around 8:00 am. We pick you up at your hotel or riad in Fes; if you arrive by plane the same day, we can pick you up at the airport and adjust the departure time.

How many hours of driving are there each day?

Approximate driving times, not counting stops: day 1: 7 h 45 min; day 3: 4 h 30 min; day 4: 3 h; day 5: 3 h 45 min. We stop whenever you need for photos, a rest or a meal.

Where do we sleep each night?

night 1: Camp in the Erg Chebbi dunes (standard, superior or luxury tent); night 2: Camp in the Erg Chebbi dunes (standard, superior or luxury tent); night 3: Hotel or kasbah in the Dades Gorge; night 4: Kasbah in Ait Benhaddou; night 5: Riad or hotel in Marrakech. You can choose standard, superior or luxury category.

Where does the tour end?

The tour ends in Marrakech, at your hotel, riad or the airport. If you'd rather finish in another city, we adapt the route.

How do I book?

Write to us on WhatsApp (+212 673 85 10 91) or by email (nomad.berber@gmail.com) with your dates, the number of people and the type of accommodation. We'll send you the proposal with the final price and, when you confirm, explain how to pay.

Does the price depend on the number of people?

Yes. The “from” price is per person and varies with group size, season and accommodation category. The larger the group, the cheaper it is per person.

What should I bring for the night in the desert?

A small backpack with what you need for one night: warm clothes (it gets cool at night, especially from November to March), a torch or charged phone, a power bank, sunglasses, sunscreen, a scarf for the sand and comfortable shoes. Your big luggage stays at the guesthouse or in the vehicle.

Does the camp have a bathroom?

The superior and luxury camps have tents with a private bathroom and shower. At the standard camp the bathrooms are shared. Tell us which you prefer when booking.

Is this tour suitable for children and older people?

Yes. As it's a private tour, we adapt the pace, the stops and the length of the camel ride. We can also replace the camel with a 4x4 if you prefer.
